Brian and Pam Fahey, from Sew Special Custom Embroidery, are the recent winners of a brand new SWF Compact Embroidery Machine from the ISS-Atlantic City show in March 2018. Their story is admirable and full of inspiration, allowing for a brand new start in their business and lives.
The Fahey’s story as told by Brian Fahey:
“My wife, Pam Fahey won the embroidery machine at the Atlantic City convention. My brilliant Pam survived a horrible and debilitating illness that forced our business to be shut down four years ago. At the end of our last big job run, all embroidery machines were exhausted and in dire need of repair, upgrade and update. Our laser engraver needed a $2K CO2 recharge, and then we discovered all of the (seven) complete embroidery collections she had bought AND the digitizing system no longer functioned on her Windows 10 replacement computer. Then the embroidery machine floppy drives failed to communicate the design to the motherboard. We went to the show disheartened trying to figure if we needed to cut the cord on her beloved business or spend many thousands of dollars patching and reviving the business to a restart. Winning your machine was a complete life re-set; it’s modern, efficient, up-to-date, fast AND reliable. As soon as it’s delivered, we should have the micro-font design (hat and left chest logo) digitized and ready to try for a very old and loyal customer. We will continue to re-grow the business, but we’ll keep it more fun and local this time around. You have made a world of difference in our lives; I can’t thank you enough for this opportunity to re-bloom. Pam is still crying with joy and astonishment. Thank you again.
Sincerely, Brian Fahey
PS- I’m putting in my retirement from the black and white world of DOD paper shuffling to the wonderfully colorful world of machine embroidery…with my wife beside me.”
We wish the lucky winners all the best and a huge congratulations!
